Bishop Lavis Shooting & Death: Bishop Lavis Shooting Investigations: Six Dead in Cape Town Mass Shooting

In a tragic incident on Thursday night, October 24, 2024, a deadly shooting in Cape Town’s Bishop Lavis neighborhood claimed the lives of four men and two women. Authorities were alerted to the mass casualty event on Kogelberg Street, where the six victims were fatally shot, and two additional individuals sustained injuries.

This incident follows a similar tragedy on Wednesday in Atlantis, where five people were shot and killed. Both cases are currently under investigation by Anti-Gang Unit detectives. Western Cape Police spokesperson Andre Traut announced that law enforcement has bolstered its presence in Bishop Lavis following this devastating attack.

“No arrests have been made as of yet,” Traut stated, adding that investigations remain ongoing.
